Autumn Minuet

The somber notes float through the air, and leaves are falling everywhere. My hands fly over ivory keys, a lonely path curves through the trees. I travel to All Hallows Eve, where autumn never has to leave. The flaming leaves that I admire seem as though they are on fire. A yellow moon shines overhead; I’ve no reason to fear or dread. I cross the bridge of my sad song and urge myself to move along. I head to the place that is my home, a place where I can be alone. The woods that stay my sanctuary are the place where I can tarry. They act as my protective cover; I have no wish to be discover
